UNIVERSITY OF PERADENIYA VACANCIES
Applications are invited from suitably qualified persons for the following posts in the University of Peradeniya.
1) TECHNICAL OFFICER (AUDIO VISUAL) - GRADE III
Salary Scale : Rs. 31,625-7x300; 10x355-37,275 U-MT I (III)
Qualifications:
1. Should have passed in three (03) subjects at the G.C.E. (A/L) examination in any stream.
AND
II. (a) Having obtained a certificate of proficiency not below than the NVQ Level 5 in the field of Electronics and Telecommunication/ Electronics/ Multimedia or Audio Visual Techniques from an Institution recognized by the Tertiary and Vocational Education Commission or a Statutory Institution which has been established by an Act passed by the parliament
OR
(b) Having obtained technical qualifications in the field of Electronics and Telecommnunication/ Electronics/ Multimedia or Audio Visual Techniques accepted as equivalent to the above qualification of (I1) (a) by the Tertiary and Vocational Education Commission with one year experience in Audio Visual work in reputed organization.
III. Age not more than 45 years
2) DATA ADMINISTRATOR - GRADE II
Salary Scale: Rs. 42,885 - 18x660 - 54,765 U-MN 3(II)
Qualifications:
I. i) Degree of a recognized University
ii) Three years of experience in Computer Programming
II. Age not more than 45 years
Please note that the following allowances will also be paid in addition to the salary indicated in each post.
I. Cost of Living Allowance - Rs. 7,800/-
II. Additional Allowance - 20% of the Basic Salary
III. Monthly Compensatory Allowance (MCA) - 45% of the Basic Salary
General Notes:
- The University reserves the right to shortlist the applications and summon candidates for the interview, based on the prevailing rules and regulations.
- Employees of Government/ Corporations should forward their applications through the Heads of respective Departments/ Corporations along with a certified statement of the present salary particulars. The applications which are not received through the proper channel on or before the closing date will not be considered.
- The selected candidates will become contributors to the Universities Provident Fund as well as the Universities Pension Scheme, the contributions being 10% from the employee to the Provident Fund and 7% and 8% from the employer to the Provident Fund and Pension Fund respectively. Further contribution of 3% will be made by the employer to the Employees Trust Fund.
