The Climate Smart Irrigated Agriculture Project (CSIAP), implemented by the Ministry of Agriculture, Livestock, Lands and Irrigation and funded by the World Bank, is a 7-year initiative (2019 to 2025). The objective of the Project is to improve agricultural productivity and climate resilience in vulnerable hotspot areas across six provinces:

📌 North Western, North Central, Eastern, Northern, Uva, and Southern. The project cost is estimated at USD 125 million.

Applications are invited from Sri Lankan citizens for the following contract-based position. Applicants should meet the qualifications and experience listed under each category.

🔎  Data Entry Operator (Project Management Unit)

📚 Qualifications :

  • Passed all subjects in the G.C.E. A/L Examination at one sitting (excluding the General Paper)

  • Six (6) passes at the G.C.E. O/L Examination with four (4) credit passes including:

    • English

    • Sinhala/Tamil Language

    • Mathematics (all in one sitting)

With:

  • NVQ Level 3 qualification in Computer Applications

  • Minimum of 3 years' work experience in computer literacy (MS Office packages, internet, email)

And:

  • Practical knowledge in:

    • Photography

    • Videography

    • Photoshop

    • SQL

  • Knowledge in relational databases is an added advantage.

Job Description :

  • Designing posters, leaflets, and video editing

  • Creating multimedia content using tools such as:

    • Photoshop / Adobe Premiere

    • SLR camera, Video camera

    • Troubleshooting computer devices

  • Maintaining a Relational Database (MySQL)

  • Executing technical tasks related to databases and writing/updating advanced SQL queries

📄 General Conditions :

  • Age Limit: Below 64 years as of the closing date

  • Must be willing to travel to project sites when necessary

  • Experience with foreign-funded projects in Sri Lanka is preferred

  • Must be proficient in:

    • English

    • Computer Literacy

    • Familiar with government rules and regulations

  • Salary will be based on Management Services Circular No. 01/2019 dated 5th March 2019
